Cross Pollinate: Plant Lover Salon

  • Third Root Community Health Center (map)

Cross Pollinate: Plant Lover Salon is a gathering that works with plant allies and texts to reflect on timely topics in herbalism, environmental justice, climate resilience, and beyond.

For the month of June, we'll explore Hibiscus, often used as a summer beverage staple across the globe. With a long history of medicinal value, hibiscus has also had a place in human lore, art, and healing. We'll be making delicious medicine for all your summer beverages (cocktails, mocktails, sodas). Using adrienne maree brown's book, Pleasure Activism, we'll also invite discussion and embodied practices for healing shame and sexual trauma with hibiscus and finding liberation through pleasure.
